    • Good Morning John, Flori and her staff, especially Emily, worked hard for us and got the job done!!! Bottom line to us is getting the job done! N

      • Thanks Nancy,
We will certainly look them up. I’m also interested in why you chose San Clemente. It was definitely one of the towns on my radar for our trip in August. We love the feel of the smaller fishing villages, with a little surfer influence for fun. For instance Sayulita, Mexico, was a preferred vacation hangout for us, if you’ve ever been there. And at the same time, we hope to bring my elderly father with us, so reasonably close access to health care is a consideration. How does San Clemente stack up next to all that? Are there any other towns you think we should look at as well?

        • Hi John, thanks again for commenting. Clemente was on our list of beach towns to look and see if we would like it and this is where we were able to find a house we could afford. We like it even more after being here for just this past two weeks. As to health care, I have heard that Portaviejo is a bigger town so they should have more medical facilitates available for those living in Bahia, Clemente, Jacinto area. If you want beach and medical, Salinas and Playas are close to Guayaquil and they have Kennedy Clinic which has many of it’s doctors who speak English, the Consulate in Guayaquil gave us a list of medical specialist and even rated their English skills. I would say that Quito (mountain, elevation of 9k) would have great medical as well as Cuenca (elevation of around 4k) but I would not take Joe there with the altitude — and your elderly father probably would have a problem with the altitude as well. Hope that helps, N

Can somebody else please provide feedback and let me know
if this is happening to them as well? This could be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this happen before. Many thanks

    • Hi, when I switched to the one format several weeks ago some folks had issues so I changed it to the current format…you are the first that has had an issue with this new one. But I had a problem with someone else’s blog, cutting the pictures in half, placing the name of the blog over the actual article and I will tell you that it was my internet provided…my connection was so slow that it would not open the site properly. This could be your issue. As soon as the internet stabilized I was able to read the blog perfectly. If you get an opportunity to open our blog on someone else’s computer using a different internet provided do that and see if it looks right…it could be your internet…Nancy
