12″ Banana Bread for $2

On our way home from Manta earlier this week, Leigh stopped to buy a banana bread from a man on the side of the road. Of course, I had to try one myself, how could I resist.  It was still warm from the oven and at $2. it was a bargain to me.

  1. Love it! We have been able to get many good bargains on the bus or from the vendors by the side of the road. Just a note – I went to buy chunkapiedra in Charapoto yesterday and the woman told me some gringa named Nancy bought her out the day before. I wonder who that could be?

    • Mary and John, Well I had to order it from her. What she had was with Cats Claw in it and very little Chunka Piedra. Joe has tried it but it is not as good as the stuff from Peru. So I asked if she could order a few bottles for me…If John needs some before she can order some for you, please let me know..we will share, Nancy
