This is a section of beach towards La Libertad that used to be oil fields – if you are driving by you can actually see the oil derricks. The video is of the surf during one of our morning walks. It is so different from the beach area on the Malecon – quieter and strictly residential. The condominiums are right on the beach with the access road behind.
At low tide you see the crashing of the surf on the rocks and tidal pools in some areas. At high tide you cannot walk to this end of the beach unless you are aquatic or wearing scuba gear.
